The client confirms they are medically cleared by a healthcare provider to engage in physical activity if necessary. (Check for 10. for contraindications).
02. Transparency
The client understands it is their responsibility to provide full and accurate information regarding their health, including but not limited to medical conditions, injuries, medications, and relevant lifestyle factors. The client also agrees to update the practitioner with any changes that may affect their treatment, training, or overall wellbeing.
03. Communication
The client is responsible for informing the practitioner during the session of any pain, discomfort, or concerns so adjustments can be made.
04. Therapy & Training Disclaimer
Functional Beings provides sport therapy, Tuina-based manual therapy, movement education, and training support services. These services are intended to support physical wellbeing, movement quality, circulation, and recovery, and are not a substitute for medical care.
The practitioner is not a physiotherapist or medical doctor and does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medical treatment, or provide medical rehabilitation. Any therapeutic or movement-based work is offered within the scope of sport therapy and traditional manual therapy practices.
While services may support recovery, reduce physical discomfort, and assist the body’s natural processes, no medical claims, diagnoses, or guaranteed outcomes are made. Individual responses vary based on numerous factors, including health history and personal participation.
Client safety and informed participation are priorities. By engaging in services, the client acknowledges that all physical activity and manual therapy involve inherent risk and agrees to communicate openly, follow guidance, and participate within their own limits.
05. Safety & Responsibility
The client agrees to follow all guidance and instructions provided during sessions. Functional Beings accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, or issues that may occur as a result of:
-
Misuse of equipment.
-
Failure to follow guidance.
-
Pre-existing or undisclosed conditions.
-
Actions taken by the client outside of the session against the advice of the practitioner.
06. Cancellation Policy
The client agrees to attend all scheduled appointments punctually. Any session that is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit or full session fee.
07. Conduct
The client understands that inappropriate behavior, requests, or presenting under the influence of alcohol or substances will result in immediate termination of the session.
08. Media & Documentation
The client consents to photographs or videos being taken during sessions for documentation and educational purposes. Such media may be used on Functional Beings’ website, social media channels, or other professional materials, unless the client has expressly opted out in writing prior to the session.
Clients may withdraw consent for future use of such media at any time by providing written notice. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawful use of materials created or published prior to the withdrawal.
09. Security CamerasFor safety, security, and quality assurance, Functional Beings operates security cameras within the studio premises. Recordings are used exclusively for security monitoring, incident review, and, if necessary, legal protection. Footage will never be used for promotional purposes or shared publicly, and will be stored in compliance with data protection regulations. By attending sessions, the client acknowledges and consents to being recorded on security cameras.
